In this guide we will see how to unlocking the bootloader. This is a simple task and most allowed by the manufacturer, therefore we will not void the warranty of our smartphones.

Why unlock the bootloader
- You can install new ROM
- It will always be possible to ROOT
- The installation of firmware version preview can be installed only with bootloader unlocked
Preliminary steps
- PC with Windows OS and USB cable for connecting the device
- Note the IMEI code of our Terminal. Simply type the code * # 06 # *
- Download and extract to a folder inside the package with drivers and fastboot usb (DOWNLOAD)
- In the case of PC with operating system Windows 8 will need to perform some extra steps. For more info see the following link
- Turn off the device is avviamolo in fastboot mode. To do this simply press and hold the Volume up button and connect it to the PC via USB cable
- At this point Windows should start searching for drivers. Let's do it point to previously downloaded drivers folder
- Once you have installed the drivers there just have to unplug the USB cable and turn on the device
Unlock the bootloader
- First of all we check our boot loader is unlocked. To do this we need to access the Service Menu by typing the code keypad * # * # 7378423 # * # *. Below we see the message unlock Bootloader allowed: Yes. This means that the bootloader is unlocked.
- From your PC go to address http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
- Read everything carefully and click at the bottom to Start unlocking bootloader, then Continue on all subsequent conditions eaccettiamo
- On the form you put our name, the first 14 digits of the IMEI of the device and our email address. Click on Submit
- You will be sent an e-mail containing our unlock code bootoloader
- We connect the device the fastboot mode (turn off your device, press and hold the Volume up button and connect it to the PC via USB cable)
- Open the Windows command prompt and let us go inside the folder previously downloaded fastboot.
- Enter now: -0x0fce fastboot.exe getvar version.If the return value is 0.5 means that the device is connected correctly
- Enter now fastboot.exe-oem unlock 0 x 0x0fceKEY replacing KEY entry code received via email
- Completed the bootloader of the device will be unlocked.
