Requirements

• Sony Xperia Z with firmware unlockable (tested on firmware 10.1. d. 0.317, d. 0.322 10.1, 10.1 a. 1,350 )
• Rooting Toolkit (DOWNLOAD) with ADB driver installed

Guide

• Increase the timeout to 10 minutes display off (settings-> Display-> > 10-Minute Suspension)
• Enable USB Debugging mode (settings-> Options-> Debugging USB developer)
• Enable installing from unknown sources (settings-> Security-> unknown origins)
• We extract the Rooting Toolkit into a folder on C:\
• Close all applications that use ADB (PC Suite, PC Companion, Flashtool, etc.)
• At this point we connect the device to your PC and execute the file runme.bat
• Press Enter to start the process
• From the command prompt of your PC are the message: press the button to restore the data in your phone
• The device will launch an app. Select RESTORE data
• From the command prompt of your PC will get the message: if Restoring data is complete
• From the device type keypad the following combination: * # * # 7378423 # * # *
• Select Service Tests-> Display
• The Toolkit will run some commands
• Press the power button to turn off the display, wait a few seconds and press the power button again to turn on the unit
• On the command prompt on the PC we will see some messages, like: "transfer files to your phone part2", "installing busybox, su, Superuser, etc ..." and finally "Cleaning up"
• The device will restart automatically
• At this point we've got root right
